For Road maintenance go to this link...https://www.amadorcounty.gov/departments/transportation-and-public-works/online-work-request

Use this link to request grading maintenance of our road to the tract. Make it sound that the road is unsafe, it probably is. When it requests the road number use #244 (spillway to Pardoes Rd) and #245 (Pardoes Rd). Use your cabin address so it shows you are a Amador resident. I have used it and it works. At least the one time I did. If we keep using it maybe they will get the message .

Wildlife and Bear Problems

The Bears have been quiet for the last few years but don’t expect that to stay this way. Be Bearwise. Check this link for great information…https://bearwise.org . If you do encounter break-in, please let us know by way of the contact page. Also call Calif. Fish and Wildlife at (916)358-2917.

There have been sightings of Mountain Lion and Bobcat recently so just be aware. They are very shy and were caught on game cameras.

With the forest floor disturbances I would expect Rattlesnakes will be on the move in the next couple years also. Maybe not, because there have not been sightings in the last few years. Just FYI.

Firewise Certificate

Here is the Firewise Certificate which might help with your fire insurance premiums. Our thanks to Melisa Shuler for getting this out for us.
