News Flash...
It has been reported by the National Forest Homeowners Association that our permits are to be extended to 30 year leases by the Forest Service. This is to be effective immediately, but as you can imagine the Eldorado office will be a while in getting caught up. They have over 900 cabins in the Eldorado NF. They need to complete communication and training first. Then it is reported they will issue a 10 year extension to our existing permits. More information will forthcoming as it becomes available. Go to the website for more information about this and the CPRA.
Water System
The Water system is operating under the summer system. Pay attention to any boil water notices.
If the water is not working, contact Tom Hunt at (209)969-2812 or Rich Farrington at (209)295-7424.
Refer to the What If page, Water is out, under the resources tab for more information
DO NOT try to operate any valves at the water tanks.
Road
The Road is open and clear. Although, it is still in very poor shape from the Dam to the Cole Creek road turn. The potholes are numerous and deep. Very dangerous with the amount of traffic in the summer. You may wish to send a maintenance request to Amador County. The link is under the Resources page. Describe the condition as dangerous, it is, this will help get maintenance done.
Starting the summer, the County has done some maintenance in the very worst spots but there are still numerous potholes and the gravel portion is developing washboard. Please remember to keep the speed down to 15mph or less to prevent it from getting worse
This will be updated as conditions change.
