History of the Tract
Welcome to the official website of the Bear River Summer Home Tract Association, Inc. Here you find news and resources helpful to the Tract Permittees and their families The sole purpose of the Association is to provide water to the cabins in the Bear River Tract and for the maintenance of the water system.
The first permits for the Recreational Residences in the Bear River Tract were let out in 1957 by the USFS after the completion of the Lower Bear River Reservoir by Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E). The Association was founded in 1960 to build the water system and guide development within the Tract. Since then the system has been improved to its present reliable state.
